WHAT WE DO
National Network
IDAHO Children's Health Project
The Idaho Children’s Health Project (ICHP), which operates a combination of fixed site clinics and a mobile dental clinic provides medical, dental and behavioral health care to low-income, uninsured, and medically underserved children and their families in rural communities throughout South Central Idaho.
During the school year, the ICHP primarily serves low-income, uninsured families. During the summer months, migrant seasonal farm workers are added to their patient population. Many of these individuals have limited access to health care, often due to a lack of public transportation in the area. For some, getting care is especially difficult because they live as far as an hour away from a facility.
Many patients–including migrant workers and their families–face additional challenges accessing healthcare due to language and cultural barriers.
